Rukmanidevi Charitable Trust is a non-governmental, non-religious, non-profit organisation built to help people who have no one to lean on. We believe care should never depend on who you are, where you come from, or what you believe. It should simply reach whoever needs it. Today, our trust in Chennai gives shelter and care to destitute men and women, differently abled children, and elderly people who have been orphaned or left alone, many of whom have gone years without a kind word, a warm meal, or a place to call their own. With the support of our donors, volunteers, and well-wishers, we give them comfort, dignity, and a sense of belonging. We dream of growing every year, so that more people receive the help and respect they deserve, and no one has to face life alone.

At Rukmanidevi Charitable Trust, we give food, clothing, medical care and education, and above all, love. Through our mission, we work so that no child goes hungry, no child is left homeless, and every girl gets the chance to learn through girl child education. Behind every child we care for is a story of waiting: waiting for a meal, for a kind word, for someone to say, “You matter.” You can be the one who answers that wait, and it can start today. You can donate by crossed cheque in favour of Rukmanidevi Charitable Trust, by money order, or by online transfer to the Trust’s bank account. Your donations are eligible for deduction under Section 80G of the Income-tax Act. If you have clothes in good condition, books, stationery, groceries, toys, or other items to share, just give us a call. Our volunteer will visit you and collect them.
